Board
of Directors
 Not-for-profit, community based
agencies are also referred to as voluntary agencies because members of the
Board of Directors are people in the community who do not benefit
financially from their involvement with the agency, but volunteer their
time and leadership for the benefit of the agency and the community. The agency board establishes policies and
approves the strategic plan for the agency.
The board hires the Executive Director, raises funds for agency
programs, and is accountable to the community for funds that are
contributed to the agency. The
agency board, administration, staff and volunteers work together as an
integrated team so that quality, effective services are provided for
residents of Waukesha
County.

The Financial
Management, planning, and the effective coordination and administration of
agency programs is the responsibility of the management and support staff.
Administrative expenses are funded through an administrative fee that is
assessed with each funding contract, and included in the client fees that
are charged.
